Hello everyone, I hope everything is amazing with you. Today I am going to give you some tips on how to get the most of Italy for an amazing price.
On October 3rd, I flew from Lisbon to Milan to start my 9 day trip to Italy. It was all made by bus, more specifically Flixbus, which is an amazing company with routes to pretty much all parts of Europe you can imagine and very cheap.
TIPS:
- Start in Milan because it is in the north of Italy and you can work your way down;
- Travel by bus or train. The bus system is incredible in Italy, they are always on time and it is extremely efficient. Do buy the tickets previously because you can't buy them on the bus, a few exceptions may apply, usually when it's a transfer between the city centre and the airport;
- If you don't intend to visit museums, one day is usually enough in the major cities, except Rome. Rome has amazing things in every corner; This way you can visit a lot in a few days, of course it depends on the kind of trip you plan to do;
- If you do intend to visit museums and you are under 25, you will have discounts in most of them;
- If you are looking for a relaxed vacation, the Amalfi Coast is the place to go, 5 days is perfect.
